Infectious Disease Surveillance

The continuous support of USAID GHSC-PSM marks a significant change in the country's approach to disease surveillance, by Implementation of IDMIS in the country. This effectively provided high level data analytics for disease surveillance and monitoring. IDMIS is not limited to single data type, instead it is capable to cover stock , patient profiles, diagnostics, services and surveillance data. Integration with other systems including private sector is providing continuous snapshots of country wide data.

Private Sector's Case Based Data Reporting in National Data Stream

For the first time in Pakistan, the national Infectious Disease Management Information System (IDMIS) is now successfully capturing case-based data on daily basis from 54+ Private Labs across the country apart from the 53+ Public Labs. On the other hand, 58+ Private are now linked to national data stream of IDMIS via Interfacing and are submitting data on daily basis. This landmark achievement has been realized through the implementation trainings & robust interfacing mechanisms, enabling seamless data transfer from private sector facilities to the national data stream.
